Nine years running on a system AddisERP built and maintained by hand — replaced with a standard, actively developed platform, timed to go live on the first day of the new Ethiopian business year.
AddisERP originally built and supported a locally-developed ERP system for Hast Enterprise starting in 2017, covering their sales, purchase and inventory operations. It did the job for years — but a fully custom system means every improvement, integration and fix depends on a single development team rather than a wider platform ecosystem.
As Hast Enterprise's needs evolved, both the client and AddisERP saw the case for moving onto a standard platform instead of continuing to extend the custom build.
| Client | Hast Enterprise |
| Sector | Wholesale / trading |
| Prior system | Custom ERP, built & run by AddisERP since 2017 |
| Engagement | Migration to a standard platform |
| Platform | Odoo 18 Community Edition |
| Modules | Sales · Purchase · Inventory |
| Go-live | 8 July 2026 |
Based on Hast Enterprise's request and our own assessment of the custom system's limits, we proposed moving to Odoo 18 Community.
Rebuilt their existing workflows — sales orders, purchasing and stock — on the new platform rather than starting from a blank slate.
Go-live was set for 8 July 2026 — the opening day of the new Ethiopian business year — so the switch lined up with a natural bookkeeping boundary.
AddisERP builds and deploys a bespoke sales, purchase and inventory system for Hast Enterprise.
Client request plus AddisERP's recommendation set the move to Odoo 18 Community in motion.
Odoo 18 goes live on the first day of the new Ethiopian business year.
Whether it's custom-built or another ERP entirely, we can assess what moving to Odoo would take.
